Fowler House

This is the home of Eileen and Phil Fowler.  It is on Armfield Street and is in the Academy Hill District.  Look below to see interior pictures of this lovely house.

This shot shows the color contrast used on this house.  The red in the gables is very pleasing against the gray of the house.  The picket fence adds a quaint look, as well as keeping two dogs inside.

This is the living room.  The door to the right of the photo is the front door.  Aileen's choice of curtains in this room is outstanding.

This shot of the living room shows a beautiful table.

This photo shows the living room mantle and the entrance to the hall.

One more shot of the living room before we leave this lovely room.

This is a bedroom adjacent to the living room.  This house has twelve foot ceilings.  This photo gives a good look at that.

This is the master bedroom.  What a beautiful bed!

And another look...

At the end of the hall is this back door foyer.  This serves as a pantry for the adjoining kitchen and also as a laundry room.

This gives a little closer look at the cabinets.  Phil is quite a good woodworker, and built the cabinets himself.

This is the dining room.  Eileen told me that this corner cabinet was in the house when they bought it.  She isn't sure whether or not it is original to the house.

This shot of the kitchen shows Phil's handiwork with the cabinets.  The open shelves at the top provide a wonderful place to display special dishes.

And another look...

This chest in the kitchen adds a cozy look.

I would like to express my thanks to Eileen and Phil for allowing us to peek inside their lovely home.
