Gourley House

This is the home of
Vonnie and Bob Gourley. It is on Davie Avenue, and is in the
Broad Street-Davie Avenue Historic District.

This shows the entry hall from the top of the stairway.

This lovely living room boasts a beautiful chandelier.

This is a shot of the same room taken from the other side. It
shows a magnificent mantle and an arched doorway into the dining room.

This photo shows the dining room, looking into the kitchen. The
hunter green walls compliment the salmon living room and kitchen.

This is a shot of the kitchen, where the salmon walls from the living
room are repeated nicely with wooden cabinets.

Another shot of the kitchen, showing Vonnie's use of plants and other
collectibles on top of the cabinets. This is a nice touch.

What a beautiful place to sleep! The antique loveseat is a
nice place to cozy up with a book, or to watch television.

This is one photo of the bath adjoining the master bedroom. This
is also the doggie's room as evidenced by his feeding bowls in front of
the cabinet.

Another shot of the master bath complete with a door leading to the
porch outside.

Another shot of the bathroom.

The back porch is a lovely place for a summer's day retreat.

This is a photo of the upstairs sitting room. Since this house is
a story and a half, it has interesting attic ceilings.

This is the upstairs bathroom, where the slope of the ceilings adds an
interesting touch.

Another shot of the upstairs bath.

This photo shows the bed created in the upstairs.

And finally, a shot of the back yard and its beautiful trees.
I would like to thank Vonnie and Bob for sharing these photos of their
lovely historic house.
